The 5k held in conjunction with the annual Mark Darroch Memorial Half Marathon on the Thousand Islands Parkway attracted 101 runners. They lined up in cloudy, humid but relatively cool conditions at the start line at Rockport. As in the half marathon, there was a significant number of runners from the surrounding areas - tabulated in the results below. A notable feature was the wide age range from the 4 year old Maggie Crawford of Maitland, all the way to 77 year old Robert Beeney from Kingston.
Winner of the men's division was Brockville's Jacob Smith in the excellent time of 15:38. Chris Palmer from Belleville in a time of 17:43 was second, while third place went to Connor Mahoney-Ashberry of Stirling in 17:45.
