From Suna Stone:

Hello everyone, I am sending our announcement for this winter’s Frozen Foote series of 4-mile races for distribution.

The 2021 Frozen Foote season will begin December 12, 20020.  This will be a virtual series.

This year’s series includes the following weekends:

  • December 12-13, 2020
  • January 9-10, 2021
  • February 13-14, 2021
  • March 13-14, 2021

Traditionally, we meet in front of Appleton Arena at 10:30 am Saturday morning on the second Saturday of the month in December, January, February and March to run an out-and-back loop on Miner Street Road.  This year will be different, as Appleton is closed to the public and public gatherings bring a risk of spreading the coronavirus.

Here’s how it will work this year.  The second weekend of the month, beginning in December, select a 4-mile (6.4K) course in your neighborhood.  You can run, walk or do a combination.  Record your time.  Then, visit the address below to record your name, age, email address and time.  We will compile the results and share them with area media outlets.  You can also share photos of your race day on the Stillman Foote Club Facebook page.

In February, we will publicize information about how to order a participant T-shirt.  Each person who submits results in December, January and February and commits to completing their fourth race in March may order a long-sleeved Frozen Foote 2021 T-shirt.  Orders may be placed between February 13th and 20th.   Shirts may be picked up at Brewer Bookstore on the SLU campus on or after March 13th.  Participants who live further afield in Canada or in other states may also choose to have shirts mailed to them.
