Freeze Your Buns #1 1K/5K 9am
First race of the 2020 season. From the Brockville Memorial Centre. Come out and enjoy a bracing 5K run with your club members and friends. There is also a 1K for Kids under 13. Portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Brockville Foodbank.
Signup for all 3 FYBs upfront and get a discount and also qualify for a commemorative shirt to be presented at the 3rd and final run in the series.

A new addition to our BRRC race series. Enter one of the races on offer and gain points in our series.

Canada Day 1K/5K
Cancelled Due to Covid-19
One of the club’s featured races on Canada’s special holiday. Traditionally held from a start on Blockhouse Island, again this year the race is moving to the north-end of the city to a new section of the Brock Trail. This mainly for runner safety reasons.
SATURDAY SEP 12
TIP 5K/21.1K
Cancelled Due to Covid-19
Another of the club’s featured races. Both races are from the Rockport Community Hall on the Thousands Islands Parkway (TIP). The races are run on the traffic-free, scenic parkway path, on out-and-back certified courses. The half marathon is included in the Kingston RR’s race series.
The two member team 21.1K relay first held in 2019 will again be added to the event. The relay, unlike the 5K and 21.1K, is not part of the points race series.
Supported Races Not Included in the Series
These events are not directly organized by the BRRC. The club does support the runs in providing expertise, equipment and event promotion. Many of our regular volunteers also help on raceday.Supported Runs NOT Included in the Series
NEW EVENT IN 2020
Brockville Legion Prediction 5K
Cancelled Due to Covid-19
Due to the unavailability of the the Brockville Memorial Centre in early January, the annual Legion Resolution Run could not be held.
To replace this run, a fundraiser for the local Legion Athletic Club, Janet Wynands has scheduled a Prediction Run 5K in its place. The date is Sunday April 5, 10am from the Memorial Centre. The course will be over the traditional Freeze Your Buns 5K course. A donation to the Legion Club, will serve in place of the usual preset race fees.

P&G Vibrant Living 5K
Due to the end of production at the local Procter and Gamble facility, this popular community event will no longer be taking place.
AUGUST DATE pending
Piggy Run/Walk 1K/5K
Cancelled Due to Covid-19
Scheduled to happen in conjunction with the local Ribfest event, this run is a fundraiser for the local Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Gib Kent has faithfully organized this run over the years. Open to all, the course includes a section through Brockville’s now famous Railway Tunnel.
